1- Buy a valid flight ticket

How to buy a flight ticket? Simple, just start by search and booking your flight through an airline or a travel website. Make sure to choose the most convenient and suitable options for your schedule and budget. 

2- Check passport and visa requirement

To prevent you from being denied the flight, ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel date. If travelling internationally, check the visa requirements of your destination country. Make sure to obtain the necessary visas if required. 

3- Pack your bags

Pack your luggage according to the airline's baggage policies. Pay attention to the weight and size restrictions. Make a checklist of essential items including travel documents, clothing, medicine and toiletries. 

4- Travel documents

Gather all necessary travel documents including identification card or passport, boarding pass and visa (if required). It is too simple to manage everything in one place. It is a good idea to make a photocopies or digital copies of these documents in case of loss or theft. 

5- Check-in for your flight

Most airlines allow their passengers to do online check-in, which you can usually do 24 hours before your departure time. To do the online check-in, follow instructions provided by the airline until you receive your boarding pass. 

6- Arrive early at the airport

On the day of your flight, arrive at the airport well in advance. Airline typically recommended arriving 2-3 hours before domestic flights and 3-4 hours before international flights. 

7- Baggage drop (if needed)

Follow the signs to the check-in counters for the luggage or you may use kiosk where you will get your boarding pass for self-baggage drop. 

8- Security check and immigrations 

After checking-in, proceed to the security checkpoint. Be prepared to remove your shoes, belt and any items from your pockets. Place liquids and laptops in separate bins for screening. If your are travelling internationally, you will need to pass through immigration.

9- Boarding the plane 

Present your boarding pass and identification card or passport to the gate agent when boarding. Pay attention to the boarding announcements. They usually call passengers by seat rows.

10- Find your seat

Once you board the plane, locate your seat which is indicated on your boarding pass. Store your hand-carry luggage in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you. 

11- During the flight

Keep your seatbelt fastened when seated especially during takeoff and landing. Follow the safety instructions provided by the flight attendants and enjoy your in-flight services. 

12- Arrival at your destination

When your plane lands, stay seated until it comes to a complete stop and the seatbelt sign is turned off. Follow the sign to baggage claim to retrieve your checked luggage (if applicable)

13- Custom and immigration

If your are travelling internationally, you will need to pass through customs and immigration. Fill out any required forms and be prepared to present your passport and visa. 

14- Exit from the arrival hall

The last step is to exit from the arrival hall. To do so, you just need to follow the signs 'arrival hall/ exit'.
